Discount Policy
YouCustomizeIt offers Official YouCustomizeIt Coupons & Promo Codes, however the applicability and calculation of these promotions may be affected by the following:
Calculation of Coupon Value
Limit X Items
Some coupons have quantity limits on them ("Limit 1 Item", "Limit 5 Items", etc). Although this limit does not restrict the amount of items that can be added to the order, it does limit the discount to only the first X applicable items. Although not guaranteed, discount limits are also typically in units relative to the "minimum advertised quantity" (ie. a limit of 5 on a product with a minimum quantity of 20 would discount on up the first 100 items). See Discount Calculations for more information on how these types of discounts display and apply.
Buy X, Get Y
Buy X, Get Y (sometimes referred to as "BOGO" coupons) apply discounts to items of equal or lesser value. Additionally, "mixing and matching" is generally allowed within the applicable product group. Item discounts are typically shown as "strike-through pricing" on the applicable items in the order so it can be easily seen how the discount is calculated. See Discount Calculations for more information on how these types of discounts display and apply.
Equal or Lesser Value
As stated above, discounts are typically applied in order of most expensive item to least expensive item. In scenarios of "equal or lesser value", YouCustomizeIt has done our best to handle calculations in the fairest way to our customers . As an example, a "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" discount on on order of 4 different priced items would discount 50% off the 2nd and 4th most expensive items in the order (the 2nd item is "equal or lesser value" than the 1st item, and the 4th item is "equal or lesser value" than the 3rd item)
Free Shipping (and Other Shipping Discounts)
Discounts applied to shipping are shown in the "discount" credit and are not reflected as a price change in the "shipping charge" itself. In checkout "strike-through pricing" may be shown for shipping prices, however this is for illustrative purposes of the price after discount. In the event of return, discounts on shipping my be lost resulting in original shipping charges being non-refundable.
Discount Calculations
Coupon calculations generally allow "mix-and-match designs" and are calculated as if each item were separate, giving the same discount regardless of: ordered as a single "line item" with a quantity of 4, ordered as 2 "line items" with quantity 2 each, or ordered as 4 separate "line items". Although not guaranteed, discount limits are typically applied to the most expensive applicable items (see also "Equal or Lesser Value").
In cases of "Limit X Items" and "Buy X, Get Y" the following scenarios may occur:
- If the items are added to the order as separate "line items" with quantity 1 each, this may result in some items showing a discount applied and others not because some were over the limit or not included as a "Get Y" item.
- In the event that a single "line item" (ie. multiples of the same design) exceeds the limit or has enough quantity for both "Buy" and "Get", the discount shown on the items may appear less than expected because a single "line item"/"design" is "partially discounted" (some of the items got discounts and others did not)
Combining Offers
YouCustomizeIt's promotional offers are generally not combinable, however the following scenarios may occur.
Combining Coupons
YouCustomizeIt generally does not allow "coupon stacking" . If the order already has a coupon applied and another coupon is attempted to be applied, the 2nd coupon may not apply and will display an error explaining the incompatibility. You are always welcome to remove a coupon that is applied if you would prefer to use another coupon.
Combining "Buy More, Save More" with Coupons
Because coupon discounts are applied from retail price, this may result in instances where the discount it greater before applying a coupon. As an example, if a product has "Buy More, Save More" pricing that offers 20% off a purchase of 5 or more, applying a coupon for less than 20% would result in a smaller discount than had it not been applied. If this occurs, you are more than welcome to remove the coupon and return to the "Buy More, Save More" offered discount.
Combining Coupons with Sale Pricing
Because coupon discounts are applied from retail price, this may result in instances where the discount it greater before applying a coupon. As an example, if a product has was on sale for 30%, applying a coupon for less than 30% would result in a smaller discount than had it not been applied. If this occurs, you are more than welcome to remove the coupon and return to the sale price offered.
